Official Photos: MG 1/100 Aegis Gundam

As the release date of MG 1/100 Aegis gets nearer, Bandai releases the box art and the official photos of the this model kit. This nice boxart shows the mobile suit as well as the transformed mobile armor mode. I always love looking at these master grade box arts as is shows the mobile suit in a semi-realistic and non-cartoony style. I wish I had a skill to paint my kits and make it look like the ones on these box arts. The model itself looks fantastic in these photos. I can't wait to display all the first five Gundam SEED model kits side by side.

This latest addition to the master grade Gundam SEED product line will be released this coming 25th of October for 4,800 yen (5,040 yen including 5% tax) and preorders are still available at HLJ, Hobby Search and Amiami.

Announcement: One Piece H.O.O.K. Film Z

I'm not into Sentinel's One Piece H.O.O.K. collection, but this one just hit the spot. Earlier shown during the Wonder Festival 2012 Summer on its prototype stage, this new set is based on the upcoming One Piece Film Z which will feature only the girls as usual. The design of this set looks totally hot and best of all it's from Film Z. A sweet start for my H.O.O.K. collection.

To be released on January 2013 for 5,040 yen. Preorders are now available at HLJ and Amiami.

Announcement: Figuarts ZERO - Ain and Z

Looks like Bandai has it's full force on bringing us more Figuarts ZERO based One Piece Film Z. Here is a scanned image announcing a very sexy Ain and an awesome and huge looking Z himself. This time, Figuarts ZERO - Ain has a fixed release date of December 2012 and Figuarts ZERO - Z will be released on January of 2013 which will coincide with Figuarts ZERO - Tony Tony Chopper (Film Z Opening Clothes ver.). Preorders might start by first week of October, so stay tuned on this site for any further announcement. Limited Edition Figuarts ZERO - Tony Tony Chopper (New World/Celebrity-Like ver)

A limited edition Figuarts ZERO - Tony Tony Chopper (New World/Celebrity-Like ver) will be available as a commemorative merchandise for Tamashii Nation 2012 5th Anniversary event. I'm not sure if this will be available later on the web, but basically, this will be a limited edition item that will be sold at the venue for 1,500 yen.

Crimson Mode Sakuya is Fiery Impressive

Kotobukiya's 1/6 Crimson Mode Sakuya, which is now fully colored with impressive details, is now available for preorder. We've seen this first during the Wonder Festival 2012 Summer but only in its non colored prototype stage. This time, the prototype was completed.

Based on Tony Taka's illustration, this fully finished prototype captures the art perfectly in 3D form. I love the huge sword, fiery base and the color scheme of this huge, I repeat, huge figure. Yes, she is 1/6th scaled, that makes her stand about 13 inches. It is going to be a towering addition to anybody's collection. Hopefully, my bank account will be ready for her for she has a price tag of 12,000 yen. Quite expensive but I guess its totally acceptable considering her size and amazing details.

To be released on February 2013, preorders are now available at Amiami, HLJ and Hobby Search at their discounted prices.

Tamashii Nations 2012 Preview Caravan - One Piece

There was a recently held Tamashii Nations exhibit at Yodobashi-Akiba. Some Tamashii Nations products were on display including One Piece Figuarts ZEROs. Most of them were already announced previously but the most notable one is the Monkey D. Luffy (Film Z Kessen Costume ver.). It was announced earlier for December 2012 release, but this is the first time we get to see this figure clearly, and I have to say it looks nice.

A Nostalgic D.P.C.F. Naruto

What a surprise! Plex will be releasing D.P.C.F Naruto. This will the first D.P.C.F outside their One Piece franchise. It is based on the classic Naruto when he was still young and the team 7 were still together. Plex will probably continue their releases for the whole team 7 as shown on the illustration where it is based from. For now, we'll just get to see the unpainted prototype of Naruto which is actually enough to get me excited.

New Release Photo Review: Figuarts ZERO - Sadie

Figuarts ZERO - Sadie was just released last Friday, 15th of September and here are some of the early photos from one of the retail version of this figure. Sadly, same as my thoughts on my previous post about New Release Photo Review: Figuarts ZERO - Nami (Battle ver.), Bandai did it again on this one. See for yourself if you are still planning to get her.

Official Photos: GEM - Rin Okumura

Not only POPs are on MegaHouse's arsenal this coming December, there are also other nice 1/8 figures at their disposal. One of these is their GEM - Rin Okumura which we saw back at Wonder Festival 2012 Summer. But with these official photos, we can see that he can be posed in two different ways. With an alternate head, two alternate arms, a removable tail and an unsheated Kurikara (sword), he can be either a normal human or a half-devil with his blue flames. He also comes with his cat Kuro. Its nice to display him back to back with another upcoming GEM -Yukio Okumura. Hopefully I can get them both.

A December 2012 release as I mentioned, and retails for 7,980 yen including tax. Preorders are now opened at Amiami, HLJ, Hobby Search, Otacute and Anime Export.

Phat's Bayonetta is Incredibly Detailed

Here's another one that I tried to ignore last Wonder Festival 2012 Summer, Phat's Bayonetta. I have seen her a couple of times while browsing through various internet sites that features the event, but I thought she's just some random Bayonetta figure since I already saw a lot figures of this character before. But when I read the preview of this figure from Mikatan's blog and I get to see some of the details closely, I fell in love it. The details on the outfit are incredible. I knew her from the PS3/Xbox360 game but never had the full interest in playing it. The game looks nice though, it's just not on my gaming titles priority list. But seeing this figure's close shots, I got more interested in the figure as well as the game.

To be released on March 2013 with the price of 13,800 yen (including tax). Quite expensive but I still have time to save money for her. So unless there won't be any other more interesting figures that will be released on that month, I might be able to take her home :)

Official Photos: Amane Suzuha & Mountain Bike

Alter's Amane Suzuha & Mountain Bike is now up for preorders and the price is... oh well, let's put it this way, it actually reflects the amazing details of the bike. We've seen her first at Wonder Festival 2012 Summer. I'm still really trying my best to resist this one, but everytime I look at these photos I am always drawn by the details of the bike and of course it won't be that much appealing if it weren't for Amane Suzuha who herself looks very nice. I just find the eyes too yellow as compared to the anime. Priced at 12,390 yen including tax and to be released on January 2013. Preorders are now available at Amiami, HLJ and Hobby Search.

Official Photos: POP Neo-Maximum - Eustass Kidd

Following my post for POP Neo-DX - Killer, here we got the official photos for POP Neo-Maximum - Eustass Kidd. We've already seen lots of photos showing the two different faces and the optional huge metallic arm which is probably why it cost so much that MegaHouse decides to start a new classification which is the Neo-Maximum. The price is about double as that of a normal Neo-DX which will hurt the wallets of many collectors including me :(

Same release schedule as POP Neo-DX - Killer which will be on December 2012 for 12,600 yen, preorders will start 12th of September 2012 at 18:00 JST (Japan time).

The official photos of POPs Eustass Kidd and Killer are out now. Though this isn't a surprise for everyone anymore as we already know how these figures looks like, these official photos are still nice to look at. First we got POP Neo-DX - Killer, different shots shows that the both blades can be rotated. No optional parts shown here but we'll see later when it is released. An alternate shirt to show post time-skip maybe?

Slated to be released on December 2012 for 7,260 yen, preorders will start 12th of September 2012 at 18:00 JST (Japan time) along with POP Neo-Maximum - Eustass Kidd.

Official Posters: POP Kidd and Killer

Two days before the preorder begins for POP Neo-Maximum - Eustass Kidd and POP Neo-DX - Killer, MegaHouse releases the official promotional posters for these two. And based from these posters, the price for Kidd is 12,600 yen and price for Killer is 7,560 yen, both tax included. Kidd is almost double the price of an average DX. Not so surprised because of that huge accessory. I guess that's what a Neo-Maximum subline is meant to be. Both are December releases.

New Release Photo Review: POP LIMITED - Tony Tony Chopper DX

POP LIMITED - Tony Tony Chopper DX has been released last friday, 7th of September and here are some early photos for you to view it from different angles. The figure itself looks real nice. Though there's a lot of POP Chopper figures that we're released by MegaHouse before, this is the best of all the pre-timeskip versions, not to mention the included optional face, torso and Chopper's favorite cotton candy.

Chozokei Damashii - Movie "ONE PIECE FILM Z" (Opening Costume)

I don't usually collect Chozokei Damashii (aka Super Modeling Soul/Soul of Figuration) but this one totally looks cool. It is the first product that shows the crew in their alternate clothing from the Movie Z. This set is to be released this coming December. No announcement for preorder schedule and pricing yet but I'll be sure to keep you updated as this has already caught my attention.

Figuarts ZERO - Franky (New World ver.) Re-release

The long awaited re-release of Figuarts ZERO - Franky (New World ver.) has finally been announced. This is the last of the New World version Straw Hat that was announced for re-release as the rest has been announced previously. This is scheduled for December 2012 re-release for 3,675 yen (same price as the initial release). The exact preorder schedule will be announced tomorrow so keep an eye on this blogsite or follow my Facebook page to receive updates of this figure on Facebook.

Gunpla EXPO World Tour Singapore 2012

Gunpla EXPO World Tour had arrived at Singapore is currently being held at Atrium Level 1 of NEX at Serangoon, Singapore. The event started last 30th of August and will be there until the 9th of September. I went there to personally witness the new model kits and to share with you the experience with these shots that I made.

12" Perfect Model Boa Hancock Teaser

Bandai's Tamashii Nations gave us a hint of what will be coming next on their 12" Perfect Model product line. They have shown a teaser photo of a 12" Perfect Model Boa Hancock on their official website (Japanese) which was taken during the recently held Tamashii Features Vol. 4.

Event Photos: Tamashii Features Vol. 4

Last weekend, Sept 1-2, the Tamashii Features Vol 4. was held at Harajuku Quest Hall in Japan. A lot of Bandai's Tamashii Nations products we're showcased but the event is focused more on their new product line, the 12" PM (Perfect Model). In case you're not aware of it yet, the 12" PM product line is composed of 12" inch poseable figures similar to Hot Toys and Medicom's Real Action Heroes. That means its a highly detailed and probably Bandai's most expensive action figures.

Announcement: POP Kidd and Killer Preorders

September POP preorders has been announced and it will be POP Neo-Maximum - Eustass Kidd and POP Neo-DX - Killer. Preorders for these two figures will start next week, Wednesday, 12th of September 2012 at 18:00 JST (Japan time). New Release Photo Review: POP Neo-DX - Arlong

The long awaited POP Neo-DX - Arlong has also been released recently (late August, about the same schedule as POP SA - Brook) and here are some early shots of a mass produced figure. Though it looks nice, MegaHouse fails to reproduce the exact facial features as we have seen on prototype and promotional images.

New Release Photo Review: POP Sailing Again - Brook

Portrait of Pirates Sailing Again - Brook has just been released by MegaHouse recently (late August) and here are some early shots of the figure. Judging from these photos, it definitely looks fantastic. I say this is the best POP Brook figure. You might wanna reconsider getting him if you skipped preordering as he is still available on some online retailers.

More Official Photos of MG 1/100 Buster Gundam

Bandai has added more images to the earlier released official photos. As usual, Bandai never fails to impress me. It looks really nice and sharp on every angle. And they added some cool CG artwork too. It gets more exciting as the release date gets closer. Set to be released this month of September, be sure to preorder if you want to get one of the initial releases.
