Hot Toys: Iron Man 3 - 1/6th Scale Iron Patriot Movie Masterpiece

Less than two months to go and we'll be seeing Iron Man 3 in theaters. As expected, product merchandise based on the film has been flooding the internet already. And what's better to see those Iron Man Armors than in Hot Toys 1/6th scale Movie Masterpiece format. The first Iron Man 3 armor to get that treatment is the Iron Patriot, an upgraded version of the War Machine.

Earlier announced is the Iron Man 3 Mark XLII 1/6th Scale under Power Pose series which isn't too exciting since it is just a semi-fixed pose figure. It's still good though, but Hot Toys are known to produce great articulated movie-accurate action figures, so why not get it in it's full glory. There's also a non-armored Robert Downey Jr. announced earlier, but I ain't interested in that. What I want are armors.

Looking at this brand new images of Iron Patriot, it is looking totally splendid. Yeah, it's shining, shimmering splendid. It's like we're looking at the actual movie armor. It's just strange that Don Cheadle's face isn't shown yet. Maybe they're perfecting it's likeness to the actor. Doesn't really matter actually, they can use the one mold that they used on the War Machine they released before which is really pretty close to Don Cheadle's likeness.

I can't wait for the Mark XLII's Movie Masterpiece format. But anyway,we should be expecting more Iron Man 3 armors from Hot Toys aside from the Iron Patriot and the Mark XLII since it has been revealed in a poster and the trailer 2 that the movie will show the Iron Legion, which is an army of... guess what.... lot's of Iron Man armor.

Hot Toys Iron Patriot 1/6th scale Movie Masterpiece will be released on the 4th quarter of 2013. No pricing announcement yet.

Update (2013-03-23): Retailing for an SRP of 35,000 yen. Preorders are now open at Amiami, Hobby Search, HLJ and Figmation at their respective discounted prices. But Figmation has a very great price offer so I'll be prordering from them, you should too :)
