Figuarts ZERO Release Announcement: Keep Out! This is a Spoiler! (Duh!)

Warning! Spoiler Alert! If you are a One Piece "anime-only" follower, have no ideas of the current events in the manga whatsoever, and want to keep it that way, you better stay away from this news and just check out some other posts in this blog. You have been warned!.... (Duh!)

Better Late than Never: Figuarts ZERO Trafalgar Law Release Announcement

Better Late than Never: Figuarts ZERO Trafalgar Law Release Announcement

There may have been a lot of released and to be released figures of Trafalgar Law in his Dressrosa attire. This time it's Bandai Tamashii Nations' turn for their Figuarts ZERO - Trafalgar Law (Dressrosa Edition). With the announcement of Figuarts ZERO - Issho Fujitora and Figuarts ZERO - Donquixote Doflamingo (Dressrosa Edition), this figure completes the awesome three-way confrontation of Green Bit.

This figure release is not much of a surprise actually, since we are expecting more upcoming Dressrosa characters from Figuarts ZERO. We already saw two of the Mugiwaras - Luffy and Robin. And since Trafalgar Law has a big role in the Dressrosa Arc aside from the fact that every One Piece fanboy cares for him, it's only obvious that he'll be given priority. Though this is an expected release, it's always nice to see a new Trafalgar Law figure specially if you're a huge fan.

The pose isn't too battle ver-ish, but it's much more dynamic than the earlier announced POP version by Megahouse. He's in the midst of unsheathing his sword and having a little smirk on his face. I like how his long coat is being blown by the air. He comes with an alternate head without the hat and with a bigger smirk exposing some of his teeth. It's really great to see him face-to-face with Doflamingo in this pose.

Figuarts ZERO - Trafalgar Law (Dressrosa Edition) will be a December 2014 release for 4,104 yen. No preorder dates announced yet to stay tuned for future announcements.

Update (2014-08-26): Preorders for Figuarts ZERO - Trafalgar Law (Dressrosa Edition) will start next Monday, 1st of September 2014 at 16:00 (JST).

Get Ready for Gladiator Lucy, Robiland & Joker's Exciting Figuarts ZEROs

Get Ready for Gladiator Lucy, Robiland & Joker's Exciting Figuarts ZEROs

I never thought that we will be feasting with our eyes so soon with these official photos of the three new Figuarts ZEROs. We just broke the news for the upcoming release of these three figures about two weeks ago. Today, Bandai Tamashii Nations has already unveiled the official photos of Figuarts ZERO of Dressrosa editions of Luffy (a.k.a. Gladiator Lucy), Robin and Doflamingo. And I must say, I am totally happy as well as excited on these three figures. I'll just share some few thoughts about them.

These two figures will be released this coming October 2014. Preorders will start next Wednesday, 9th of July 2014 at 18:00 (JST).

She's So Beautiful, But Somehow She Doesn't Look Like Violet

It's just a couple of weeks ago since we got a news that a Figuarts ZERO - Violet is expected to be released. Now we are looking at the official promo photos and before I say anything else, I'll just tell you first that she looks so gorgeously beautiful.

Who Says Mondays are Boring? (Look What I Got 2014-06-16)

Who Says Mondays are Boring? It has been a week already but I can never forget what a great Monday I had last week. What happened? Well, I just happened to have a bunch of good stuff in front of me. A figure from Hobby-Frontier and some items from HLJ. Let's check em out.

A Beautiful Assassin Will Dance On October

We got a great news that beautiful assassin Viola (or Violet) will have a Figuarts ZERO treatment. The figure is set to be released on October of 2014 with a price tag of 3,780 yen. No photos of the prototype figure available yet, so let's hope that we're getting a lovable Viola in Figuarts ZERO format. I'll be posting the photo on this blog or on my Facebook page as soon as it becomes available. Till then, let's just dream of her gorgeousness.

Make Way for the Power Forward of Tōō High

There aren't any new POP preorder for this month aside from a re-release for POP Neo-DX - Dracule Mihawk. But MegaHouse isn't slacking off with their releases as they're giving us another one from the Kuroko No Basuke Figure Series - Daiki Aomine.

My 1st ArtFX Statue is Super (Look What I Got 2014-06-09)

Just got my first Kotobukiya ArtFX statue and it's none other that the man of steel himself - the ArtFX - 1/6th Scale Superman: For Tomorrow. Got it from a local hobby shop. It's a bit more costly than it's preorder price, but hey, it's Superman!

Part 6: Poseability & Final Words

Now it's time to see how kick-ass War Machine Mark II looks in various poses. Be it on it's display stand or off it. I'm not very creative in posing action figures and I tend to copy poses that I have seen before. So please don't get mad at me when you saw a familiar looking pose.

Part 5: Articulation & Option Parts

War Machine Mark II MMS is said to have over 36 points of articulations. I never count the number of articulations myself, so I couldn't confirm this number. Owner of other previously released Iron Man MMS might say, "what so special about this? It has the same number of articulation as before." No, it's not just about the count, but also the flexibility of each joint. You'll understand what I'm saying?

Part 4: Armor Details

Hot Toys War Machine Mark II, unlike War Machine Mark I and some other Iron Man MMS, has a fresh from the factory look. It doesn't have any scratches, worn-out parts or semi-battle damaged look. They made it to look like as if it's the first time Stark handed this suit to Rhodey. It has a highly accurate overall proportion. Each part has been given a lot of attention.

Part 2: Box Art and Contents

The box is unlike any other Hot Toys packaging we've seen before, or at least not like what I've seen before. It was handed over to me in a brown outer carton that is used for shipping, protecting the actual box which is quite prone to scratches due to its material and design.

Hot Toys: Iron Man 3 - War Machine Mark II MMS Diecast Review (Part 1)

Hey guys! Here's another Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece review. This time I'll be featuring my 1st Diecast MMS, The Hot Toys: Iron Man 3 - War Machine Mark II MMS Diecast. This is just my 5th Hot Toys Sixth Scale collectible and I still consider myself as a beginner in sixth scale figure collecting. In fact this is my first Iron Man armor figure. So please forgive me if I talk about things that you probably knew already like the back of your hands, and please forgive my ignorance on other Iron Man MMS that was previously released.

Completing The Trinity

Kotobukiya has already presented us their highly anticipated ArtFX release, the completion of DC's Trinity - the ArtFX Wonder Woman 1/6th Scale Statue. As with ArtFX Batman Black Costume and ArtFX Superman: For Tomorrow, Wonder Woman is also based on the illustration of Jim Lee.

Don't Laugh Tony Stark, Iron Patriot Rox Too (Look What I Got 2014-05-19)

Armed and ready! The Eagle has landed!

Last week, I finally got my 2nd Diecast MMS - the Iron Patriot Movie Masterpiece by Hot Toys. I got it from my usual source of collectibles - Figmation. It's great that the owner gave me the honor of having one from the 1st batch of delivery and I get to enjoy the figure early. Join me in the unboxing.

This Gladiator Looks So Lovely In Figuarts ZERO

Just about a week ago, we get to see the prototype of this figure from the Tamashii Nations Summer Collection 2014 event. Today, the official promo shots of Figuarts ZERO - Rebecca had made it online. We can now get a full view of the beauty of this figure. As I have guessed, it seems that it will come with helmeted and unhelmeted head as what is apparent on these photos. And I am pleased to say that the unhelmeted head is so lovely.

Ready to Face Doflamingo and Fujitora

The third POP version of Trafalgar Law has already been out for preorder since last Wednesday (check out the preorder announcement here), along with POP CB-EX - Momonosuke. While Momonosuke is set as an August 2014 release, POP Sailing Again - Trafalgar Law Ver 2 is slated to be released on September 2014 for 8,800 yen (tax inclusive).

The Prideful Samurai Kid of Wano Country

As soon as the preorders for POP CB-EX - Momonosuke opened two days ago (see the preorder announcement here), the official promo shots of the Samurai kid from Wano Country made it's way to the internet via online hobby shops and via Megahobby Station. So we get to see what a small POP can offer us aside from the figure itself.

The Copycat from the Generation of Miracles

Have you secured a copy of the copycat? Kuroko No Basuke Figure Series - Ryōta Kise had gone up for preorder last Wednesday (see the preorder announcement here). Again, I was surprised that most of Japanese based hobby shops has declared sold out during the first hour. Same thing happened when Kagami had opened for preorder. This only proves that there's a lot of fans of the show.

A Super Saiyan In Da House (Look What I Got 2014-05-15)

I just got my Figuarts ZERO - Super Saiyan Vegeta yesterday from Figmation. I'm kinda excited to have the third addition to my Dragon Ball Figuarts collection. The first two being Super Saiyan Son Gokou and Super Saiyan Future Trunks. This figure was released in Japan last month, April 2014. Around the end of the month I presume, so it reached me about two weeks later. Not bad.

Bandai Figuarts ZERO's Take on the Curvaceous Gladiator

Last Saturday, the Tamashii Nations Summer Collection 2014 event was held at Bandai's Akiba Showroom. There's lots of new and upcoming Bandai figures. One of the freshest figure that debut there is the Figuarts ZERO - Rebecca from One Piece. Remember that we just broke the news about this release earlier this month? I thought we'll have to wait till June to see her, but here she is.

The Next Score Will Be from Kaijō High

The next to be released for the Kuroko No Basuke Figure Series will be the Small Forward of Kaijō High and a member of the Generation of Miracles. The yellow-haired Ryōta Kise. Preorder schedule for this figure has been announced by MegaHouse and will start next Wednesday, 14th of May at 18:00 (JST). Same as the preorder start date of POP Sailing Again - Trafalgar Law Ver. 2 and POP CB-EX - Momonosuke. For those like me who's planning to complete this figure series, better mark your calendars.

Two More POP Preorders for the Month of May

Aside from POP LIMITED - Cavendish the Hakuba which will be available for preorder starting tomorrow (see the preorder announcement here), there will be two more POP preorders for the month of May. As earlier announced, POP Sailing Again - Trafalgar Law Ver. 2 and POP CB-EX - Momonosuke will be our next POP preorders.

The Perverted Kid is Set for Another August Release

More POP announcements as MegaHouse gave us the release date of the last known unreleased POP prototype. POP CB-EX - Momonosuke is set to be released on August 2014 and will retail for 3,100 yen. I'm was actually wondering why this wasn't announced yet given that the prototype was already shown painted. It turns out that he will be released back to back with Rebecca on August.

The Third POP Trafalgar Law Gets a Release Date

The Dressrosa version of POP Trafalgar Law has been announced as a September 2014 release and will retail for 8,800 yen. And the best thing about this release is that it is NOT a LIMITED edition release unlike the earlier announced Cavendish and Barlolomeo. That's a great news for me as this is one of the Dressrosa POP character treatment that I am actually planning to get, the other one being Rebecca.

The Sexy Gladiator will get a ZERO Treatment

We got an announcement that the sexy gladiator Rebecca will get a Bandai Figuarts ZERO treatment. That's a great news for us Figuarts ZERO collectors. It will be a September 2014 release for 3,780 yen. No photos of the prototype yet, so the question is, will it be a good representation of the character's alluring beauty?

Another POP LIMITED Gladiator

Just after the announcement that POP Cavendish will be a limited edition release. Here they go again with another LIMITED. The POP Sailing Again - Bartolomeo the Cannibal has been classified as POP LIMITED. Well actually, we already saw this coming when MegaHouse launch the POP Special page on the MegaHobby Station. The page shows a silhouette of what turns out to be Cavendish and Bartolomeo under the POP Limited class. See below.

The Man with Eyes of a Woman.. is LIMITED

The Man with Eyes of a Woman.. is LIMITED

Here we go again with another POP LIMITED release announcement by MegaHouse. The official promo photos has been made available and we had a first look at the fully colored prototype. And yes, the POP Sailing Again - Cavendish the Hakuba is now being classified as POP LIMITED and will exclusively be offered via Premium Bandai, Megatreashop and others MegaHouse affiliated stores only. We don't have any information if it will have an international release though. Preorders has been announced, and will start on the 9th of May 2014 at 13:00 JST.

My Final POP... For The 1st-Half of this Year (Look What I Got 2014-04-10)

My Final POP... For The 1st-Half of this Year (Look What I Got 2014-04-10)

Picking up where I left off on my previous "Look What I Got" post. Here now is POP MAS - Tony Tony Chopper (Horn Point). This is my latest POP acquisition. My second POP MAS and my 44th POP (I'm not gonna be tired of counting them). I got it from Hobby-Frontier less than a month ago. This is gonna be my last POP for the 1st half of this year as my next POP preorder - POP MAS - Marco the Phoenix will be released late-June which I'll probably get my hands on by July.

The Dark Lord and the Pirate King (Look What I Got 2014-04-07)

The Dark Lord and the Pirate King (Look What I Got 2014-04-07)

"Inform the commander that Lord Vader has arrived... along with Luffy... and some decals"

Not more than a month ago, in a country not too far away.... a box was shipped.... A few days later, I received a box from HLJ.  And the contents... at last my very own Darth Vader figure and another addition to my POP collection - the captain of the Strawhats himself, plus a few decals for my Gunplas.

Metal Inside, Metal Outside (Look What I Got 2014-03-24)

Metal Inside, Metal Outside (Look What I Got 2014-03-24)

Again, as a continuation of my "Look What I Got" updates, here's next.

My March didn't end with just the strawhats but with a couple of 12 inchers. I got two Hot Toys from two different movie franchises, both Marvel characters though. One with metal armor inside the body and one with metal armor outside the body. These two are The Wolverine based on the movie of the same title and War Machine Mark II based on the movie Iron Man 3, though it doesn't really appeared in it. I got them both from a local hobby shop. Kinda painful in the wallet for having to pay two Hot Toys on the same day, but with a sigh of relief and excitement upon checking out the contents of these boxes.

Can't Get Enough of POP Strawhats (Look What I Got 2014-03-18)

Can't Get Enough of POP Strawhats (Look What I Got 2014-03-18)

Continuing my series of "Look What I Got" updates, here I got two Straw Hat crew POPs - the POP LIMITED - Nami (Mugiwara Ver.) and POP Edition-Z - Roronoa Zoro. I preordered both from Hobby-Frontier and I was able to get my hands on 'em about a month ago. Nami was a late-February release, same as POP Edition-Z - Monkey D. Luffy, while Zoro was released early-March.

Two Unforgettable Nakama (Look What I Got 2014-02-20)

Two Unforgettable Nakama (Look What I Got 2014-02-20)

It has been months since the last time I share to you my regular dose of hauls. Just been so busy lately that I haven't been able to update my blog on a regular basis. I do took photos of my every one of them so I'll be posting a series of "Look What I Got" from February to present. Let's start with the two unforgettable characters from One Piece. The POP Neo-DX - Nefertari Vivi and Figuarts ZERO - Portgas D. Ace (Cross Fire - Battle ver.). I got these two about a couple of months ago from one of my favorite online shop - Figmation, at a great deal.

A Cold Blooded Assassin

A Cold Blooded Assassin

So what if there's a lot of Kakashi figure? Well actually, I am one of those who were asking why MegaHouse seems to be giving a lot of love to Kakashi fans. I am a fan myself of Kakashi, but I'm also waiting for some other Naruto characters to be produced. This G.E.M. Series - Hatake Kakashi (ANBU Ver.) is the third of MegaHouse's G.E.M. Kakashi so I asked "why another one?" But then I asked again "Why not?"

Are You Considering this POP to be a Part of Your Collection?

Are You Considering This POP To Be A Part Of Your Collection?

Last Tuesday, 8th of April, MegaHouse officially opened up preorders for POP Sailing Again - Hyena Bellamy (check out the preorder announcement here). And finally, along with it are the release of the official promo photos of this figure on the Megahobby Station. It's the first time that we saw the fully painted prototype. And MegaHouse didn't disappoint.

The Hyena Springs Into Action

The Hyena Springs Into Action

I actually thought that there isn't any POP preorder for the month of April coz the announcement from Megahobby Station was a bit delayed for some reason. Well now here it is, our April POP preorder, POP Sailing Again - Hyena Bellamy. Preorders starts next week, Tuesday, 8th of April 2014 at 18:00 (JST).

A Sexy Gladiator To Heat Up The Summer

Summer isn't coming up soon, but MegaHouse is letting us feel the July heat as they announce the preorder for the next addition to our POP collection, the semi-naked warrior - POP Sailing Again - Gladiator Rebecca. Preorders for this figure will start next Wednesday, 5th of March 2014 at 18:00 (JST).

The Phantom Sixth Man (Look What I Got 2014-02-14)

Last Friday, I was happy to have received my first Kuroko No Basuke figure from Hobby Frontier - The Kuroko No Basuke Figure Series - Tetsuya Kuroko by MegaHouse. I'm totally happy about this figure as it really looks close to Tetsuya Kuroko from the series, particularly in the anime. I was just surprised to see that it's kind of small for a 1/8th figure. But come to think of it, Kuroko is actually a small character, so I guess this is fine.

Zoro Has Lost His Way Again

Zoro has lost his way again... on the store shelves that is. This would mean that we won't be meeting with him this February. POP Edition-Z - Roronoa Zoro will be delayed according to a news from Megahobby Station. The release date was pushed to next month, March 2014. As a result, we're now down to two POP releases for this month - POP LIMITED - Nami (Mugiwara Ver), and POP Edition-Z - Monkey D. Luffy.

Earlier, they also announced the delay of POP MAS - Tony Tony Chopper (Horn Point). We initially expected four POP releases by February, but it turns out that we'll only be getting two. I hope there won't be any further delay announcements from MegaHouse for this month.

Wonder Festival 2014 Winter - GSC Fairy Tail

There are plenty of upcoming new figures from Good Smile Company, but what has really gotten the best of my attention are the new prototypes and announcement with regards to their 1/7th scale Fairy Tail figures. It's has been quite a while since they released 1/7th scale Lucy Heartfilia - their first Fairy Tail scaled figure and we haven't got any news to follow up on this line since then. But during last week's Wonder Festival 2014 Winter, we got not one... not two... but three announcements of Fairy Tail scaled figures from GSC.

They are going to release the first four main characters from the series. Yes, that's right, we will be getting Natsu Dragneel, Gray Fullbuster and Erza Scarlet. Isn't that a wonderful news to us Fairy Tail fans? GSC seems to be going along the returning popularity of the anime series which will resume by April 2014.

Wonder Festival 2014 Winter - POP

Wonder Festival 2014 Winter - POP

Wonder Festival 2014 Winter has wrapped up last Sunday, 9th of February 2014, and there tons of new upcoming great figures for us from various figure manufacturers like Good Smile Company, Kotobukiya, Alter, MegaHouse, etc. But for the usual MegaHouse's POPs, there isn't much to see aside from some updates of the previously showcased during the MegaHobby EXPO 2013 Autumn and Jump Festa 2014 events. That was expected actually since they usually show us their big guns during MegaHobby EXPOs. But these updates though small, are enough to get us excited, specially to those who are waiting for the release of these new POPs. Let's check out these updates.
