Bandai's Tamashii Nations gave us a hint of what will be coming next on their 12" Perfect Model product line. They have shown a teaser photo of a 12" Perfect Model Boa Hancock on their official website (Japanese) which was taken during the recently held Tamashii Features Vol. 4.
Full photos of the figure are not yet available online as they prohibit taking photos of the figure during the event. I believe that only the attendees we're able to witness it and we are left with this teaser photo below.
This will mark a start of a new product line based on the One Piece franchise. Bandai made decision to release the most popular and most beautiful character from One Piece series. This can be a double-edged sword for them as it can make or break the future of One Piece figures on 12" PM product line. If Bandai managed to pull this off, there will probably more One Piece characters to get the 12" PM treatment in the future.
So far, the crown for best Boa Hancock figure still belongs to MegaHouse's famous POP product line (IMO). So we'll see if Bandai can take it from them. But this isn't a direct competition with POP because the pricing for these 12"PM figures are not on the same class as that of the 1/8 scale figures such as POPs, meaning it is totally expensive.
