Part 6: Poseability & Final Words
Now it's time to see how kick-ass War Machine Mark II looks in various poses. Be it on it's display stand or off it. I'm not very creative in posing action figures and I tend to copy poses that I have seen before. So please don't get mad at me when you saw a familiar looking pose.
Two hand repulsor blast and a shoulder cannon. "Resist or you'll suffer the consequences."
This pose is supposed to be a chert RT blast, it ended up some magazine pose.
"Join me and we will rule the galaxy...."
"Hey, wait! That's my lunch!"
"How many times should I tell you that I'm not Iron Man?"
"I don't have the ex-wife but these weapons are enough blow you up into smithereens."
"Bugs! I hate bugs!"
Shooting with the hidden machine gun.
Given the articulation flexibility of this figure, it can do a kneeling pose with a little effort. Just make sure you know how each joint works so you wouldn't end up breaking anything.
And yes, it can do the famous Iron Man ground punching pose. The only problem is that the head does not look up high enough to pull off this pose perfectly. I hope they would do something about it for the Mark XLII MMS.
Trying to pose with Hot Toys Dynamic Figure Stand. Like I said, it's not recommended. But you can still use it on a photoshoot. Just don't let the figure stay there for a long time, or it will eventually fall down.
"Up! Up! And Away!"
There's a lot of Hot Toys Iron Man MMS already and I know a lot of you are hating this product line already. I happened to be a Hot Toys beginner and I don't have much Iron Man MMS yet, so you may not be as happy as I am with this figure. But with this revamped and updated articulation, I do believe that Hot Toys got the attention of most collectors.
This maybe just an Iron Patriot re-color (or the other way around) for Hot Toys to make more money out of this mold, but it's still a very welcomed version for me. The existence of this MMS is actually debatable but that doesn't mean that I does not have the right to exist. The nicely painted color scheme, that fresh from the factory look and that War Machine-ish look all justifies for a well made Hot Toys MMS. And I as mentioned, they didn't slack-off with the production of this figure. It has the look of a high-end collectible.
Hot Toys made an incredible amount of updates to the Iron Man MMS by releasing these Diecast line. The articulation, the sharp details and the feel of the weight of the figure puts these collectibles to a whole new level of class. Of course these updates adds a significant amount of price to the figure, but it's totally worth it. I already have the Iron Patriot MMD Diecast and I really am looking forward to the release of Mark XLII and the future of the diecast MMS product line.
That's all and thanks for reading. Hope you enjoy. Check out the Photo Gallery on the next page.
